Enbridge Line 5 is a 645-mile oil pipeline owned by the Canadian multinational corporation Enbridge. Constructed in 1953, the pipeline conveys crude oil from western Canada to eastern Canada via the Great Lakes states.

Enbridge’s Line 5 is a 645-mile, 30-inch-diameter pipeline that travels through Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas, originating in Superior, Wisconsin, and terminating in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Line 5 has been a vital piece of Michigan energy infrastructure since 1953.

Our Line 5 pipeline transports petroleum products, such as natural gas liquids (NGLs) and light crude oil, that are refined into fuels vital to everyone who lives and works in Michigan.
