Mar 15, 2004 · I have both the Epiphone Jack Casady Signature in Gold and the Eastwood Classic 4 in Walnut. Both have their strong and weak points. I hope this helps -The Classic's walnut finish is actually a cherry color and not brown, so don't be fooled.-The JC's finish is real pretty. An eye catcher for sure and very "classy" looking in person.

Jun 9, 2016 · Turns out the bass player was playing an Eastwood Classic 4 Bass through a SWR cabinet (not sure about the brand of amplifier). To me, the Eastwood Classic had a P-Bass like tone. The tone was nice and set in the mix perfectly. The Eastwood Classic 4 cost $549.

Mar 29, 2004 · Thinking about either a Jack Casady or an Eastwood Classic 4, and while i know that there are differences in scale length and feel, one pickup vs two, a major question for my situation may be feedback. Looks like the Eastwood has a floating bridge which I would think allows more vibration of the top.

Apr 18, 2004 · Yeah I've got a fretted Classic 4 strung with TI flats, it's a really great looking/playing/sounding bass and it's been gigged reliably for a few years off and on. I think a fretless version would be really warm sounding and easy to play.

Mar 20, 2013 · I decided to keep the original bridge base that came on the Eastwood as it fit perfectly with the Gretsch bridge. I swapped out the two bridges maybe 5-6 times but the Gretsch Space Control bridge always gave me more sustain and that just made the pickup issues worse (vibration of the pickup itself, the pickup hitting the original rings, etc).
