I saw these boxes with the raised bonding screw hole for the ground and decided it was a genius idea, which solved a real problem for me. This box looks better than what I expected. When I saw it sitting on the home depot shelf I thought it was just an ordinary electrical box but after installing it I instantly knew this box will give me years of enjoyment whenever I purge the clutter I stack in front of it.

I needed a solid box for a 50 amp welder setup in an RV Garage. I bought this box with the side mount strap and I also purchased a 5/8 trim ring with it. It worked perfectly. I will be using these more often for this type of install. I am a licensed electrical contractor.

Needed a heavy duty junction box for a generator inlet. Is in an area that has lots of traffic so those weak plastic jobs would not do. This fit the bill perfectly.

I love Raco 4inch drawn boxes. But these new ones SUCK and are totally different from the old ones I have purchased before. The old ones were smooth all around and each knockout was only slightly punched where you could not see any light through the openings. These new ones I just got are about the same quality as Steel City drawn boxes. They are sharp to the touch and the knockouts are highly indented with just about every single box having the knockout ever so slightly opened and light/dust/wa...

Raco box was not properly stamped on the screw tabs, I had to adjust all 16 of them for the covers to fit. Tried another batch of the same Raco box and they fit fine.

The box does not have tapped screw holes. It requires tiny, easily lost and difficult to install nuts supplied with matching covers. I like the rounded corners, but will not purchase again.
