I recently updated my I phone . The new device has a different charge port than my old device My old square reader would not work in my new device C Port . I contacted square and was lead on a merry go round ride by their customer support. Square chat customer support told me they didn't sell a C Plug Card Swipe for new apple devices. After two dead end results in contacting Square Customer service and wasting countless time with no results I browsed for a square reader on my Wal Mart Phone App. Several phone swipes were available from $10.00 to $********* . Wal Mart had the C plug Square swipe in stock %26 available for $10.00 dollars with free shipping ! I was ecstatic Wal Mart sold square phone card readers .We have a small Mineral %26 Jewelry Shop . Customers wanted to use credit cards and I couldn't swipe their cards. Two days after I placed the order from Wal Mart Fed Ex delivered the card swipe to my door. Thank You Wal Mart !

Was under pressure of getting a square for my business. Was an easy efficient way to continue dealing with other business missions and then just swinging by to get the Square later in the day. I don't usually do pick up or like going in for something like this, just one item but it was convenient. The pickers are so rude and annoying blocking all the isles. I truly wish they did the picking early or later in the day. It doesn't reflect well for Walmart. I get they are on a timer and have a percentage to keep, but if a walk in customer needs help, they should be the priority and get undivided attention. It only drives off business when the pickers are stressed and rude. We have been do several stores in different states and it is all pretty much the same with all the pickers. Do better Walmart.....you can figure this out.

From a small biz end, Square is where it is at. Small percentage fee for withdraw to your bank account.. Use their bank and easy no fee hassle. Get the app, there is not a Windows App, nor an Apple. Could use an emulator, but the plug won't work, as it has no idea what is being used. The slider just makes it all click. These new phones don't have a jack anymore, and if you want to use this particular doodad, then you'll need the adaptor, which Best Buy has made by Google. Works great. Plug it up, run the app, the app looks for the reader, finds it and you are ready to go.. If you set it up with Square first. Everyone should have one. The users for financials is unbound.

The Square Up Reader is the easiest and cheapest way I have found for my small business to accept credit cards. The free software (app) set up is very easy and quick. I was able to customize my check out process with my most-used sales within a half hour. The company's website answered all of my questions about payments, refunds, and fees. I was happy to see there are no monthly costs, just a per-use cost. After I set up the Reader, I received a credit that paid for the reader. (I'm not sure how long the company will offer the rebate, but the website cost is already low- lower than the in-store cost.)

I bought the Square to make it easier to sell things at a craft fair. I had never used anything like this before so wasn't sure how it would be. I am not especially tech savvy, but set up was easy and it worked perfectly. You can connect it directly to your bank account so any money you collect is direct deposited. Also, I paid $6 then the paperwork that came with it got me a second device free and sent me $10!! So I was $4 ahead and had two devices.

This card reader is great for small business. The register app also allows for cash transactions and emails or texts receipts to your customers with your business information! You can opt to include your sales tax which automatically calculates as well. Overall a great value. I got $10 to start using it, with a promo code included in packaging. A must have for mobile payments.

My wife finally had to give up the ghost with her iPhone 6, which meant she lost the old headphone jack and didn't have a square reader, so at her shows she had to take merch purchases by manually inputting credit cards. This was unsustainable. For the bargain price of $10 I brought her into the future. Highly recommended.

The reader and the Square service are easy to use. The only learning curve I had was to swipe the cards level from side to side to get a good read. Otherwise I was impressed with how easy it was to take mobile payments. Customers were also relieved to see the Square reader. It was a brand they were used to seeing for mobile payments. I hate thinking about monthly fees and variable rates for different credit cards, but Square's level rate with no fees makes life easy.

Easy to connect. Instructions for use are easy to understand and follow. I did a couple of $1 practice runs with my own card, just to make sure I had it down before I used it with customers. Super easy.

You only need this to swipe cards - the app itself allows you to use a tap feature. But, all in all, I think this is a great item. Got me headed in a good direction at craft fairs.
