Amazing little machine. Have the Big brothers (8I7HNK and 8I7HVK) setup for my HTPC and my personal box. TYhis one works well as a HTPC for my bedroom. Loving it so far. BTW, while quiet most of the time it can get noisy if it is being taxed heavily. Other than that 0 problems. Oh it doesn't game wellAmazing little machine. It's a tiny, powerful i7 powered PC. 4 USB ports and 3 video ports give a wide variety of video connections. The only down side is that you can't use a hard drive in this machine - it has two slots for M.2 SSDs, but no SATA slots. The NUC was perfect for a small desktop replacement. The Intel IRIS integrated GPU does well for normal Windows GUI navigation. The BIOS allows you to overclock RAM and has configurations for CPU voltages. While the fan is noticeable while under medium-high+ demand, the unit performs great.

I bought a couple of these for work back when they were the latest and greatest. They have been in daily use for several years without a problem. I was pleased to find one at a good discount for personal use.

The Intel NUC NUC6I7KYK can hold up to 32 GB of RAM. I put in the full 32 GB along with a 512 GB SSD. This will boot Windows 10 in less than a minute. I have yet to top it out. I know this was advertised by Intel as a NUC for gamers. I have read some gamer reviews that were less than impressed. For what I need and use it for, this little machine is more than fast enough. I just need something to play my media library on. I do some minor recreational programming. I engage in some casual gaming. I have never been tempted to have two of the same model of computer. Bigger punch, smaller size than I ever could have expected. 6th gen 17 is still an i7. Iris Pro is great for my non-pro gaming needs

This machine is very light and small enough that I carry it around all the time. It runs Linux perfectly and the GPU is powerful enough for light gaming at 720p. I use it as my main desktop and I am really pleased with it. I'm extremely happy with this computer. I installed VMWare EXI 6.5 and migrated four VMs from a Dell Precision 690. This system is a lot quieter and uses less power. I have one VM to go, but I need to install two USB to Ethernet adapters to finally be free of my full size servers. I'm extremely happy with this computer. I use the Intel nuc6i7kyk as Plex server, does an excellent job. Very fast machine.
