Today, we remember our #BuffaloSoldiers. In 1866, through an act of Congress, legislation was adopted to create six all African American Army units, many who went on to fight in the Spanish-American and Philippine-American Wars. The Buffalo Soldier regiments served the United States Army with distinction and honor. With the disbandment of the 27th Cavalry on December 12, 1951, the last of the storied Buffalo Soldier regiments came to an end. #ArmyHistory | #SoldierStory | U.S. Army
