Love or hate them, Cane Toads have undoubtedly forced their way into the Australian psyche since 1935 when the Queensland Government brought them in to save the state’s sugar crop from the greyback beetle. The operation failed spectacularly – the beetle could fly, but unsurprisingly, the cane toad couldn’t!
