Today's MUSICAL MOMENT is a sweet little song which was written by JIMMY WEBB in 1967, and is one of the selections in my JOHNNY RIVERS REALIZATION piano songbook. I have never really played it before today, and am puzzled that it is NOT on the REALIZATION album...but IS in the songbook. It's a mystery to me! This morning's MUSICAL MOMENT is a ' soft- rock' song which was written by three British songwriters: TONY MACAULAY, ROGER COOK and ROGER GREENWAY. In 1971. It became a hit for the British band THE FORTUNES. The sad rock- song tells the story of a soon-to-be break-up which is compared to a rainy day.
