Ear plucking is necessary when the canal is stuffed full of hair and air flow into the ear becomes compromised. Yeast (ear infection) grows in dark warm places so ears need air flow to keep infections at bay. It’s ok to maintain ear hair by combing and trimming but often it will eventually grow so thick that an ear plug forms or the amount of hair becomes too much. Always use ear powder to help the hair come out easily and thoroughly clean the ear afterwards. I highly recommend using Lisa Leady
