Before Lake of the Ozarks filled with water, entire communities had to move. Old Linn Creek was one of the towns relocated when Bagnell Dam was built in the 1920s. Some stories from locals say homes were physically moved uphill before the valley flooded. Today the original townsite sits beneath the lake, but its history still lives in the Ozarks.
