Flashback Friday: The Granville time machine takes the Rufus Barlow house (c. 1840) back to the 1880's when it was occupied by the family of Dr. Joshua Swett, a local physician. Dr. Swett's son Paul wrote a book titled "Jockey Corners Remembrances" based on his life in Granville as a young boy in the 1880's. Paul is sitting on the horse on the right side of the flashback image. The general area of the present village green used to be known as Jockey Corners although there are conflicting stories
