Over the years I have found several artifacts at Camp Hero in Montauk. This is a couple more recent finds. Back in the 80's and 90's I would find stuff all the time. Today its rare to find anything at all. I know of one caster last year that found what appeared to be an unexplored cannon ball. We advised to give it authorities before it exploded . Stranger things have happened! Also the state closed the fort a couple of years ago due to an ordinance. Anyone know what caliber shell this is? #camp
