The NP205 is the king of transfer cases. No chain that can stretch or snap because it runs gears that basically last forever. The case is all cast iron so you can drag it on rocks and it shrugs it off. The most common setup I see is the 31 spline Ford mated input which bolts up to decades of Ford Dodge and Chevy transmissions.
